Installing Service Pack 5

Requirements

You need to be able to get to Service Pack 5. (You can download it from internet or do a search on http://ftpsearch.lycos.com. for MSNT128.EXE)

1. Log into the NT machine using an account that has administrator privileges. You can find out if you do after you log in by going to Start>>Program Files>>Administrative Tools>>Windows NT Diagnostics. Look under network and it should give you your access Level.
2. Make sure all other programs are closed
3. Click Start Run and browse to MSNT128.EXE select open
4. Click OK to start the program. It’ll verify the file and start extracting the programs.
5. Accept the agreement by checking the box, and if you have enough space backup the files.
6. After you check agree the Install button should be available for pressing.
7. After several minutes of backing up files and copying you should a reboot button will appear. Press it to restart the computer.
8. Done
